Heads of Department Induction
The New Heads of Department training runs annually in the Autumn term to address the needs of new and recently appointed Heads of Department in the S7 Colleges. The programme has been running for several years now and is run over two separate half days. Delegates will be required to attend both half days.
Written and delivered by experienced Heads of Department in the S7 Colleges, the course gets to grips with some of the critical factors that face a new Head of Department. The topics covered are: Working with the Departmental Team, Using Value-Added as a tool for moving students on, Driving up Quality, and there will be an opportunity between the two days for delegates to reflect on a departmental issue and actions to be taken.
The dates for this year's programme are Tuesday, 29th November from 1.00pm at Woking College and Wednesday, 7th December from 1.00pm at Godalming College. A programme for the two half days will be available to download from the relevant events pages once it has been finalised.
